Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) has long been a preferred species for home and other structures because of its high strength, resistance to wear and ability to hold fasteners. There is a broad range of uses, including: light framing, timbers, exposed beam and roof systems, paneling, siding, millwork, trim, patio decks, scaffolding, bridges, highway structures, and piers. SYP can be easily pressure treated to greatly increase the service life by protecting the fiber from wood destroying organisms.

Southern Yellow Pine Panel Products
SYP panel products include utility plywood, sheathing, underlayment, sanded plywood, siding, concrete construction plwyood, and oriented strand board (OSB). SYP panel products are versatile, strong, and designed for a variety of uses. Plywood is a popular choice in our markets as it can be easily pressure treated to greatly increase the service life by protecting the fiber from wood destroying organisms.
- Utility plywood is typically used in industrial applicatins as they are not certified for use in residential or commercial construction in the United States.
- Sheathing plywood is typically used in roofing and wall applications.
- Underlayment is typically used in flooring applications, but is also a popular choice for concrete forming panels.
- Sanded plywood is used in interior and exterior applications where a high quality and smooth face is needed, such as cabinets, shelving, soffits, and ceilings.
- Concrete constructions plywood is typically edge sealed with paint to reduce swelling and oiled on the face and back with a concrete release agent.
- OSB contains no core voides, knots, splits, and other defects that are typically found in plywood. OSB is designed for use in industrial, roofing, wall, and flooring applications.
Pressure Treated Products
When specified by our clients, we pressure treat lumber and plywood with chemical preservatives to render the fiber useless as a food source for fungi, termites and other wood destroying organisms. Ideal applications for pressure treated lumber and plywood includes decks, landscaping, fences, outdoor furniture, flooring, walls, and roofing systems.
Custom Remanufactured Patterns & Millwork
There is a full service remanufacturing plant conveniently located on treating facility's site. We are capable of running lumber to any standard profile listed in the SPIB grading rule handbook up to 3"x12" in dimension.
Used Rail Road Ties
We export reclaimed railroad ties that have been removed from service to countries all over the world. Many of these ties are in excellent condition for various purposes. These ties are sorted into different grades alongside the tracks upon removal. The typical dimensions of railroad ties for landscape use is 7"x9"x8'6". We ship railroad ties directly from the tracks to our clients.
